She graduated in Fine Arts – Sculpture from the Porto School of Fine Arts (1990) and obtained her PhD in Fine Arts – Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts – University of Barcelona (2018), where she also completed a postgraduate degree in Public Space, Urban Regeneration, Art, and Society. She was a scholarship holder at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (1991-93, 1994, 2002), the Foundation for Science and Technology (2002-06), and the Oriente Foundation (2019).
For more than three decades, she has divided her time between an intense artistic practice, research, and teaching. She has also organized and participated in plastic and visual arts exhibitions, conferences, symposiums, artistic residencies, and workshops, both nationally and internationally. He is currently preparing two solo exhibitions for 2026: Terroir, at the Leopoldo de Almeida Museum, marble sculpture and multimedia, in Caldas da Rainha; Graça, artist’s books, at the Alcântara Library, in Lisbon.
Elle est diplômée en Beaux-Arts – Sculpture de l’École des Beaux-Arts de Porto (1990) et titulaire d’un doctorat en Beaux-Arts – Sculpture de la Faculté des Beaux-Arts de l’Université de Barcelone (2018), où elle a également obtenu un diplôme de troisième cycle en Espace public, régénération urbaine, art et société.
Elle a été boursière de la Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian (1991–93, 1994, 2002), de la Fondation pour la Science et la Technologie (FCT) (2002–06) et de la Fondation Oriente (2019).
Depuis plus de trois décennies, elle partage son temps entre une intense pratique artistique, la recherche et l’enseignement. Elle a organisé et participé à de nombreuses expositions d’arts plastiques et visuels, conférences, colloques, résidences artistiques et ateliers, tant au niveau national qu’international.
Elle prépare actuellement deux expositions individuelles pour 2026 :Terroir, au Musée Leopoldo de Almeida (Caldas da Rainha) — sculpture en marbre et multimédia ; Graça, à la Bibliothèque d’Alcântara (Lisbonne) — livres d’artiste.
Licenciada em Belas-Artes – Escultura pela Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto (1990), obteve o Doutoramento em Belas-Artes – Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Barcelona (2018), onde concluiu também uma pós-graduação em Espaço Público, Regeneração Urbana, Arte e Sociedade.

Há mais de três décadas divide o seu tempo entre uma intensa prática artística, a investigação e o ensino. Organizou e participou em exposições de artes plásticas e visuais, conferências, simpósios, residências artísticas e workshops, tanto em Portugal como no estrangeiro.
Atualmente prepara duas exposições individuais para 2026: Terroir, no Museu Leopoldo de Almeida (Caldas da Rainha) — escultura em mármore e multimédia; Graça, na Biblioteca de Alcântara (Lisboa) — livros de artista.
